Both the 12 Megapixel µ TOUGH-8000 and the 10 Megapixel µ TOUGH-6000 feature a 3.6x wide zoom lens that span a focal length spectrum of 28-102mm* to facilitate brilliant wide-angle shots. Micro Four Thirds System Standard
Olympus has commenced development on an interchangeable lens type digital camera based on the “Micro Four Thirds System”. The forthcoming camera will bring dramatic reductions in size and weight to the Olympus E-System, and will comply with the new Micro Four Thirds System standard which was jointly announced with Matsushita Industrial Co.
